Case of the Wednesdays is composed of several wonderful women on their journey of creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We invite you to follow our journeys and share your own experiences!

[The name of the group comes from the group's founder who posted a "Weight Loss Wednesday" on her own personal blog. She had such an overwhelming response from her readers, she decided to create a larger network of women on the same journey and to have posts throughout the week.]

Randee: Week 4

Eating Plan: Weight Watchers Points Plus
Goal: Lose 50 Pounds

Weekly Weight Loss: 0 – Stayed the same…
Total Weight Loss: -2.2 pounds

Exercise Goals: 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes each time
Weekly Exercise: 5 workouts. 4x 45 minutes, 1 x 30 minutes

Sooo… Here I am again…. A little frustrated. But, at least I didn’t gain! I had a crazy week last week which included my daughter’s birthday. Which in turn included a sleepover, a kid’s party and a family party. Whew…. With all the partying, it’s impressive I didn’t gain anything. But it is still a bit frustrating to know how hard I have been working out to not see results. I have decided that my body is in shock. It doesn’t know what is going on with all this working out!
And even with all that partying, I did not go over my daily WW points values and my 49 weekly bonus points. I also did not use any of my activity points. Sooo…. I am hoping that my body will catch on to this workout plan and the pounds will start to fall off! In the meantime, I know that I am doing what I need to be doing, so I am just going to keep at it!

I also wanted to share an idea for a great cake! For the big party, I made a jello poke cake with no oil. Just take a white cake mix, follow the directions but skip the oil. Just add a little extra water. You will never miss the oil! After you bake it, you let it cool. Take a package of Sugar Free Jello (I did Strawberry), dissolve it in 1 cup boiling water and pour it over the cake. Let it cool in the fridge and top it with cool whip (I used Lite) and strawberries. I put this in my recipe builder and it came up to 4 points a serving (I said it made 16 servings). That’s pretty good for a great dessert!

Highlights from this week: Had a great birthday for my daughter. Celebrated on several days, Maintained my weight. Stuck to my plan to exercise at least 4 times per week.
Challenges for this week: My parents are coming to town. This just makes it harder. My mom will want to cook and my parents LOVE to eat out- A LOT!! My Dad also likes to snack. Plus, they will put a damper on my exercise plan. If you know my parents, you know my mom will make some crazy comment and my dad will lecture me on what I need to be doing. But, I’m just going to do the best I can, enjoy their visit and not put too much pressure on myself.

Hope you all have a healthy week! (and me too!!!)
