Leslie Week 1



Hello, my name is Leslie, I am 31.  I have a great husband Jim and 2 little boys James 4 and Caleb 2.  I have been married for 8 years.  I am a manager at Chili's I work 50 hrs. a week around food that I can eat for FREE.  The bad part is I have worked there for 11 years and still like the food.  The good part is we do have a lighter choice menu.  I just have to make that lighter choice my choice.  I also leave my house at 2 for work and do not get home until around 1.  I do not eat dinner until 9:30 most nights.  I also own my own business Personality.  I hand paint my products in my basement most nights when I get home from work when the rest of my family is sleeping.  My husband is a teacher, so I get up with my kids every morning.  I do not have a lot of time for me.

 I was never over weight when I was younger, always just what I liked to call Big Boned.  All of the ladies in my family are over weight and I always thought to myself I am not going to let that happen to me.  The healthiest me was my second year of college, I was a majorette, I did Tye Bo 4 days a week, and drink most of my meals during the weekends but just burned it off.  Life was good. I started to gain after that, just a couple of pounds a year.  Then we got married, I was 23.  After being married for 1 1/2 years we started talking about having kids.  Will lets say something I thought that was going to be "fun" and "easy" was not at all.  It took us almost 3 years to have our 1st son.  I started gaining weight because I could not get pregnant.  Then when I did get pregnant I lose 25 lbs my first 2 months, then gained that back plus 15 lbs.  Brest feed lost some weight doing that, but when I stopped I never cut the extra that I was eating for the baby and before I know it I gained all that I lost back plus some.  My son was 18 months when I got pregnant again tried 3 times and magic happened.  I gained more with him and the same thing happened, just did not stop eating.

NOW is the time to stop the over eating and unhealthy life style.  I want to be the best mom I can be and I can only do this by living a healthy life.  I want to lose weight how every this is more of a life style change for me that I want to do for my family to stay on track for ever. 

I am going to do this by only drinking water I am trying 1/2 my body weight which is just under a gallon of water.  I have a gallon jug in my office at work that I fill to my red line and I drink out of that every night I work.  I have not drink the whole thing yet but everyday I drink more and more. 

I am also on a Biggest Loser team at work.  I know I said that I wanted to be healthy not just count pounds,  but I need to do everything I can, so I do not go back to my old ways.  Everyone at work knows that I want and need to lose weight so I have a lot of support.  I am the only over weight girl that works at Chili's.  I am doing the Biggest Loser with boys, but good supports also.
