Maureen - Week 4

No progress pants this week ladies!

I even brought them all the way to Mexico with the full intention of trying them on and taking pictures. But you know what?  Life got in the way, and a little thing called my wedding took priority :)

Sorry - just had to share at least 1 :)
I did work out the first three days I got to the resort - mostly because my mind was racing and I was waking up at 6 am full of anxiety.  Being at the gym or running around the resort was a very calming experience.  However, after the wedding took place, I just let my self enjoy the trip, the honeymoon, and what was seriously some of the best wedding cake ever (tres leches layer cake with strawberries - I could have eaten the whole thing!).

I definitely noticed an unwelcome change in my body over the past 10 days. It's amazing how hard it is to change it for the better and how easily things take a turn for the worse.  I got on the scale today with great trepidation - and much to my surprise I only gained 1.2 lbs.  However,  I think I lost some muscle in the process because things are definitely flabbier and pants are certainly tighter. I was expected the number to be considerably higher though, so I won't beat myself up too much.

We're home, and back on track now, and I am still determined to meet my goals!  I have to say, while I certainly enjoyed indulging over the past week - it felt great to be back at the gym this morning and it feels good to be eating right again.

Next week I'll get back to the progress pants and I look forward to getting all caught up on the blog!
